Lalu does not mean simplicity by property
According to the latest information, Lalu’s wife Rabri Devi has assets of more than 18 crores. Tejashwi Yadav, contesting from Raghopur, owns property worth around six crore and Tej Pratap, who is trying his luck from Hasanpur. Lalu Prasad, the convict in the fodder scam of around 1000 crores, filed an election affidavit for the last time in 2009, in which the property is said to be three crores. At the same time, Nitish Kumar has assets worth Rs 46 lakh, which includes cash of Rs 16 lakh and a flat of Rs 30 lakh in Delhi. Now Sushil Modi, who started from student politics under the shadow of Karpoori Thakur along with Lalu and Nitish, has questioned Tejashwi’s wealth. By the way, Sushil Modi has prepared a complete list of scams against Lalu and family and many cases are pending in court.
Lalu pressurized Karpoori Thakur
It is also said that Lalu’s name was not agreed as the natural successor of Karpoori Thakur. In Karpoori Thakur, Lalu Yadav used to have differences on moral issues. The member of the Public Undertaking Committee of the Legislative Assembly was then replaced after one year. This was done with the intention of curbing corruption. Lalu Yadav was also made its member. When the one-year term was over, Karpoori Thakur removed him. Lalu told Karpoori ji – My Mahuabagh house is not even ready and you removed me, how can I do this .. Karpoori Thakur had to change the rules under Lalu’s pressure. He was elected as member for another term.
When Lalu refused to give his jeep
Another incident happened that shook Karpoori Thakur. Surendra Kishore, who was a senior journalist and secretary of Karpoori Thakur, says about it … the proceedings of the Bihar Legislative Assembly were going on. At that time Karpoori Thakur was the Leader of the Opposition. Shivanandan Paswan was presiding over the House. After feeling hungry in the afternoon, Karpoori Thakur lobbied Paswan and asked him to give his jeep to Lalu Yadav. Shivanandan Paswan wrote a note from his seat .. Lalu ji … Karpoori ji has to go to the house for food, you give your jeep. So Lalu Yadav wrote on the same note… Paswan ji, there is no oil in my jeep .. Karpoori ji has been the chief minister twice .. Why not buy his car. At that time both Karpoori Thakur and Lalu were in the Lok Dal. After reading yo note, Shivanandan Paswan got shocked. Well, Jananayak Karpoori Thakur left for lunch in another car.
Lalu forgot Jananayak
After the death of Karpoori Thakur in 1988, Lalu Yadav succeeded him. He became the Leader of the Opposition and became the Chief Minister of Bihar in the next two years after the Janata Parivar Unity. But despite his total initial Karpoori devotion, Lalu was lax in the construction of Karpoori Thakur memorial. In the first decade of Lalu’s stay on the 1, Deshratna Marg, Patna, the house where Karpoori died, there was no construction other than an outer wall. The conversation of Lakshmi Sahu, who was very close to Karpoori Thakur, has appeared in a book. In this he says .. Lalu never liked Karpoorji, nor did the fact that he had to live under the shadow of Karpoorji and started erasing his name when he became Chief Minister. Karpoorji had so many favors on him, but he even stopped taking his name. They do not want Karpooriji’s name to be immortal. He wants to register himself as the biggest leader of Bihar in history. They get the memorials of suspected leaders like Brij Bihari Prasad done quickly, but they have no time for Karpoorji.
Nitish Kumar did not get that much respect from Karpoori Thakur. The reason for this was that Lalu reached the assembly in 1980 itself. Nitish, on the other hand, lost the first election to Harnaut and reached the House in 1985. However, during his tenure, Nitish renovated the memorial of Karpoori Thakur and gave preference to many of his ideas, including liquor ban, in policy decisions.
