He had a coronavirus infection, was admitted to Patna Aiims a few days ago. According to the information, he was put on ventilator support after shortness of breath in view of his health. Recently, another minister of the state government, Vinod Singh, also died. Now Kamat, another Nitish cabinet colleague, died of the corona virus.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said in his condolence message that late Kapil Dev Kamat was a politician associated with the land. I had colleagues in the cabinet and a skilled administrator.
